NotiBus Terms of Service

Last updated: August 9, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of NotiBus, a product in the Noti Family. By creating an account or using NotiBus, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

NotiBus is separate from the NotiSignal alerts app. NotiSignal has its own terms.

1. What NotiBus is

NotiBus is a transportation operations platform that helps schools and organizations plan routes, run trips, record attendance and absences, share trip status, and estimate arrivals. It is an operations tool—not an emergency-response service, not a substitute for adult supervision, and not a guarantee of safety outcomes.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • NotiBus user accounts are intended for adults, including parents, guardians, drivers, supervisors, employees, organization administrators, bus owners/admins, and other authorized transportation staff or users.
  • You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Organization and bus owners are responsible for who they invite and what roles they grant.
  • You may delete your account in Settings. If you own an organization or are the primary supervisor of a bus, you must transfer ownership or permanently delete that entity first so other people’s operational data is not destroyed without an intentional ownership action.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Misuse location tracking, attendance, or notifications to harass or unlawfully monitor people.
  • Attempt to access data for buses or organizations you are not authorized to use.
  • Interfere with the service, reverse engineer it except as allowed by law, or abuse APIs.
  • Upload unlawful content or use NotiBus in violation of applicable transport, employment, education, or privacy laws.

4. Location and operational data

Drivers who enable tracking share precise location during tracked trips with authorized staff on that bus, as described in the Privacy Policy. Attendance and absence records are operational records for the relevant bus/organization. You must only collect or share personal data (including children’s data) when you have a lawful basis to do so.

5. Schools and minors

NotiBus may be used by schools, transportation providers, families, and other organizations to manage transportation involving minors.

NotiBus user accounts are intended for adults, including parents, guardians, drivers, supervisors, employees, organization administrators, and other authorized staff.

Children may be represented in NotiBus as Rider profiles managed by authorized adults. Children are not expected to create or independently operate NotiBus accounts.

Parents, guardians, schools, transportation providers, and organizations are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate authority and lawful grounds to provide and manage information relating to child Riders and for complying with applicable education, transportation, privacy, and child-protection requirements.

6. Launch pricing

NotiBus is free during launch. We may introduce paid plans, change features, or change pricing in the future. If we do, we will provide appropriate notice (for example in the app, on this site, or by email). These Terms do not promise that NotiBus will remain free forever.

7. Third-party services

NotiBus relies on third parties such as Supabase, Google (Maps/Routes/Places and optional sign-in), Apple (optional sign-in), Expo, and platform push services (including FCM and APNs). Your use may be subject to those providers’ terms.

8. Disclaimers

NotiBus is provided “as is” and “as available.” GPS positions may be delayed or inaccurate. Arrival times (ETAs) are estimates only. Maps, routes, and travel-time calculations depend on external providers and on network and device conditions. ETA and map information should not be relied upon for emergency or safety-critical decisions. NotiBus is not an emergency-response service and does not replace adult supervision or organizational safety procedures. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that the service will prevent incidents. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Noti Family and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of NotiBus. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to NotiBus will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for NotiBus in the 12 months before the claim (if any) or (b) USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or if we must do so for legal or security reasons. You may stop using NotiBus and delete your account at any time (subject to ownership rules in Section 2).

11. Changes to the service or Terms

We may update NotiBus features and these Terms. Updated Terms will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance, except where local law requires otherwise.
